What is SkinVive?
SkinVive is an injectable which uses microdroplets of hyaluronic acid which is known to retain moisture in the skin. SkinVive will improve hydration and skin smoothness while giving a glowing appearance. It is designed to improve hydration, texture, overall skin quality, and radiance that lasts for up to six months.
SkinVive is not a dermal filler so it does not change the shape of the face or add any volume. Dermal fillers usually do not improve the quality of the skin and the superficial layer of the skin. However with SkinVive, the hyaluronic acid is placed superficially which hydrates the skin and retains moisture so it will appear glowy and plump. SkinVive and dermal fillers can be used together to restore volume while also plumping and hydrating the skin at the same time.
How does it work?
SkinVive is a gel that is injected beneath your skin. Once injected it increases aquaporin which signals the flow of water into and out of cells creating hydration in skin. Since it is injected beneath your skin, it is much more powerful and longer lasting than hyaluronic acid serum that is placed on top of the skin.
Am I a good candidate for SkinVive?
Anyone experiencing poor skin quality, dullness, poor texture, lack of smoothness, or anyone that would like to retain hydration and have an overall radiant glow would be the ideal candidate.
Is there downtime with SkinVive?
SkinVive comes with the risk of tenderness and redness around the injection site and mild swelling and bruising (as with any injection) which usually last a few days.
